Coordinator of Finance

Additional Information: SUMMARY Responsible for maintenance of staffing position inventory, management of assets, management of utilities, revenues, Medicaid Administration, financial monitoring, and financial planning. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: • Responsible for monitoring and reporting of receivables and revenues, including property taxes, stadium revenues, and facility rentals. Performs periodic analytical reviews and other procedures to insure completeness of revenues and receivables. • Maintains the staffing position inventory • Maintains inventories of all staffing positions • Maintains reports for all staffing areas • Reports relevant information to department heads and Executive Director of Finance • Responsible for monthly staff data as required by TEA • Reports changes to positions and/or funding sources to the Executive Director of Finance • Responsible for administrative duties related to utilities. Maintains schedules to support billing and other needs related to utilities throughout TISD. Processes invoices for payment, including assignment of costs to food service department. Maintains timely records of usage. • Responsible for administrative duties related to copiers. Maintains schedules to support billing and other needs related to copiers assigned throughout TISD. Processes invoices for payment with assignment of costs to campuses and departments. Maintains timely records of copier usage for campus and department. • Responsible for inventories of capital assets, equipment, and inventoried supplies • Prepares/maintains inventories of all capital assets, equipment, and inventories supplies • Directs/conducts physical inventories of assets to insure existence • Maintains replacement schedules to support the budget process • Responsible for assisting with preparation of workpapers, schedules, and other data as part of the budget process, year-end audit, and as considered necessary. • Assist with Operations/Facilities department oversight as directed. • Responsible for management of Medicaid Administration and Reporting program. • Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor. Ability to read, analyze and comprehend financial data. Ability to prepare reports, business communications and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate with employees, administrators, vendors and others. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply business mathematical concepts. REASONING ABILITIES Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES Must be proficient in the use of computers and related software. Should have experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software programs with reasonable keyboard speed. Must have ability to learn and implement new software programs. Must be able to use 10-key pads by touch at reasonable speed.
