Primary Purpose:
 
Direct and manage the district’s career and technical education department for both High School and Junior High campuses. Ensure that the development and delivery of career and technical education curriculum and instructional program is effective and efficient, incorporates district goals, supports student achievement, and provides career development opportunities for students.
 

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
  • Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
 
Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
  • Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of career and technical education programs
  • Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
  • Ability to manage budget and personnel
  • Ability to implement policy and procedures
  • Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
 
Experience:
  • CTE Teacher Experience Required
