The Superintendent of WSISD, the Chief Executive Officer, is the valued leader and face of our district to students, parents, staff, and community. Below are qualifications and characteristics that the WSISD Board of Trustees is seeking from potential applicants:

*Demonstrate visionary leadership qualities that have produced exemplary results in Texas Public Schools
*Demonstrate in depth understanding of school finance
*Demonstrate appropriate understanding of curriculum and instruction
*Demonstrate the ability to be actively involved in the community
*Hold a Master’s degree from an accredited university
*Possess a valid Superintendent certification from the State of Texas
*3 years experience as campus or district level administrator in Texas Public Schools (required)

Compensation: Compensation and benefits for the WSISD Superintendent are negotiable and commensurate with candidate’s experience.

The WSISD Board of Trustees is currently seeking a successful and experienced  educational leader to employ as the district’s Superintendent of Schools.
