Primary Purpose:

Support Special Education Assessment staff and Service Providers as well as campus staff and parents to better document and communicate IEP services.  


Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
 
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Valid Texas Driver’s License
Bilingual
Paraprofessional Certificate 
Understanding of Special Education Service Provision/Language
 
Experience:
2 years minimum of data entry experience

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Records and Reports

1.          Coordinate transfer packets, log them into SuccessEd in the appropriate school districts and make folder for students. 

2.          Copy and mail requested student records.  Keep log of records sent and to whom sent. 

3.          Draft SHARS consents in SuccessEd and gain signatures from where appropriate. 

4.          Enter new referrals into SuccessEd.

5.          Ensure transition paperwork is sent out to parents and students for signatures. 

6.          Creating ARD notices for ARD’s based on request from SLPs and Diagnosticians, sending reminders to parents and campus staff.  

 

Other

7.          Answer and respond to incoming calls, take reliable messages and route to appropriate staff.   

8.          Greet and direct visitors in the office.

9.          Help with luncheons, Management Board Meetings, and clean up when needed. 

10.       Maintain confidentiality of information.

11.       Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

12.       Perform other duties as assigned.
