                                                              Head of School Position Announcement

Position: Head of School for PreK-8th grade private Christian School established in 1993.  Present enrollment 254 students and 40 staff members. 

 

Requirements: Masters degree in educational administration, educational leadership or equivalent, 3 years successful teaching experience, faithful Christian and excellent communication and writing skills. Three years of leadership/administrative experience leading staff. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents and community partners.

Position Summary: The Head of School will be committed to a personal, growing faith, supporting the faith formation of students and staff, and facilitating clear communication with parents.  The Head of School is responsible for maintaining high academic standards, providing long-term fiscal success, leading the daily operations of the school inclusive of the Christian mission and engaging in the community of First Baptist Church, Woodway.

 

 

·        Must engage and support the Christian mission of the school

·        Create a culture conducive to spiritual formation and academic excellence

·        Exemplify and communicate Christian values to the staff, students, parents and community

·        Plan and lead various functions that enhance the health, safety and well-being of students, staff and school community

·        Develop, implement and monitor a fiscally responsible budget and vision for the school

·        Hiring, evaluating and retaining of staff

·        Lead and articulate the accreditation plan for the school through the Accreditation Commission of the Texas Association of Baptist Schools 

 

Salary and Benefits: Competitive and commensurate with experience

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, some non-standard hours as needed
