PRIMARY PURPOSE Develop appropriate curriculum and a favorable classroom environment to ensure personal and educational growth.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION • Bachelor's Degree • Texas Teacher Certificate

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS • Extensive knowledge of teaching strategies. • Strong written and oral presentation skills. • Knowledge of activities to facilitate student progress. • Knowledge of motivational techniques to encourage student progress.

EXPERIENCE • None required.

 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Interpret assessment data to drive instruction. • Review data to make instructional decisions to address student weaknesses. • Plan and implement intervention strategies. • Utilize instructional management systems which increases student learning and maximizes time on task. • Communicate effectively within the educational community and with parents on a regular basis. • Collaborate with fellow teachers for instructional planning and delivery. • Monitor and maintain accurate records on student achievement, articulating the progress and success. • Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning. • Promote and maintains positive pupil-teacher-parent relationships. • Adhere to the teacher code of conduct. • Maintain professional work habits. • Participate in training as required - attendance to additional training outside designated schedule. • Perform other job related duties as assigned by the Superintendent/Principal.
