QUALIFICATIONS:   | Certified Texas teaching certificate, All-level Music
JOB DESCRIPTION:   | Assist the Band Director in the management of the overall music program for the district. Provide students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular band activities and ensure compliance with all state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), and district requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:   | Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the district's curriculum program and show written evidence of preparation as required.
 
Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
 
Present subject matter according to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency, board policies, and administrative regulations.
 
Work with other members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements.
 
Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
 
Knowledge of state and U.I.L. policies governing band.
EXPERIENCE:   | Prefer at least one year of student teaching or approved internship (some teaching experience preferred).
