Mullin Main is seeking a Special Education Teacher #295-2024

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing support and education to students with special needs. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide instruction in various subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet the unique learning needs of each student
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Implement behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive social skills
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to ensure the best possible educational experience for students
- Provide early intervention services for young children with developmental delays or disabilities
- Utilize speech therapy techniques to support students with speech and language disorders
- Incorporate evidence-based practices and instructional strategies into daily lessons
- Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students who require extra assistance Skills:
- Strong classroom management skills to create a structured and engaging learning environment
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices for working with young children
- Familiarity with speech therapy techniques to support students with speech and language disorders
- Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills for reviewing IEPs and other documentation
- Experience working with students with diverse needs, including those with behavioral challenges or learning disabilities
- Understanding of deaf education principles and strategies for supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Ability to provide individualized tutoring and support based on student needs
- Knowledge of early intervention practices for identifying and addressing developmental delays
