Primary Purpose:
Work under minimum supervision to provide advanced clerical services to the campus administrator assigned. Handle confidential information and engage in frequent contact with staff members and the general public.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
Ability to make independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling
Excellent public relations, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task administrative activities
Experience:
2 years or more experience (preferred)
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Clerical Support
- Knowledge of general office procedures
- Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as needed.
- Set up meetings including reserving the venue, preparing materials, and arranging for refreshments and catering as needed.
- Compile and maintain attendance records
- Accept, sort, and direct campus mail as needed
Reception and Phones
- Receive incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route them to the appropriate staff member.
- Greet visitors in a kind and courteous manner.
- Respond to routine inquiries from the public and staff and refer appropriate inquiries or problems to administrators.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
- Maintain confidentiality.
