Primary Purpose:Assist in the management of district police department. Assist in the coordination of daily
operations of department to provide safe environment for students, staff, and visitors on district
owned or leased facilities. Assist the chief of police in the administration of the Waco ISD
department. Maintain and enforce all applicable ordinances and laws as well as policies,
directives, and standards of district.

Job Requirements
- Education/Certification:
- GED/High School diploma, college preferred
- TCLEOSE Intermediate Police Officer License
- Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Certified Field Training Officer
- Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Certified First Line Supervisor
- Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education Instructors’ License preferred
- Graduate of Resource Officer Course
- Valid Texas Class C Driver’s license
- Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficient in preparing and writing criminal justice related reports
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Minimum Experience:
- At least five years experience as a full-time paid police officer
- At least two years of police supervisor experience at the rank of sergeant or above
- At least two years of criminal investigation experience (preferred)
- At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred
- Associate degree preferred
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
