Primary Purpose:Provide behavior and instructional support for the campus RESET classroom. Employ successful classroom management strategies by diffusing disruptive student behavior in an effort to help students refocus on learning and transitioning the student back into the regular classroom.

Job Requirements
- Education/Certification:
- Associate’s degree or two years of study (60 college hours) at an institute of higher
learning or - Para Professional Institute Certificate
- Valid Texas educational aide certificate
- Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
- Ability to work well with students
- Ability to use basic job related equipment (computer, projector, copier, scanner, etc.)
- Ability to be flexible with multiple work duties and responsibilities
- Ability to work with and effectively communicate with diverse groups
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work as a team
- Ability to work with constant interruptions
- Experience:
- Some experience working with children who exhibit behavior problems
- At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
- Associate degree preferred
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
