Job Requirements
- Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma; two or four year degree preferred
- Certifications required
- A+, MCSE
- Certifications preferred
- Security+, MCITP:SA/EA, MCSE(2012), MCP, MCTS
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Dell PowerEdge servers, tape and disk-based backup systems,
- Internet and email filtering appliances, enterprise antivirus product management, VPN appliances and virtualization.
- Advanced knowledge of server operating systems and server application systems (Windows and Linux Servers, Microsoft Active Directory, IIS, Apache, MySQL and
MSSQL) - Knowledge of system security best practices (antivirus, antispam and patch management)
- Ability to meet short deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
- Ability to follow and carry out complex instructions/tasks with minimal supervision
- Experience:
- Minimum two-years experience with mission-critical networks and servers
- Minimum two-years experience enterprise server design, implementation and maintenance
- Experience with datacenter maintenance and operation
- Experience with Microsoft and VMWare virtualization environments
- Experience with Microsoft server OSs and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Minimum two-years experience with Microsoft Active Directory and group policy management
- Experience – preferred:
- K-12 education experience
- Two-years experience in administration of physical and virtualized Windows and Linux servers, automated identity management systems and SANs
- Experience with any of these appliances: Bluecoat SG810; Barracuda SSLVPN, spam and virus firewall, backup service, load balancer; Dell Kace; Palo Alto Firewall.
- Experience with card access control systems
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Associate degree preferred
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
