SUMMARY:   

Maintain Student Management Software databases for daily operation and submission of PEIMS data to TEA. Extract data for district level reporting. Assist and train TISD employees on efficient use of Student Management Software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Duties related to required PEIMS submissions; including, but not limited to, campus data extracts and consolidation of data files from various departments
  • Maintains local and state IDs for District
  • Coordinates district operational procedures manual for student management
  • Produces public information requests and coordinates release through Communications Department
  • Reviews campus data to maintain data integrity
  • Assists campus PEIMS secretaries in student management software data entry and compliance with TEA Data Standards
  • Conducts regular training sessions regarding student management software
  • Provides “help desk” assistance for student management and online enrollment software
  • Writes reports to meet data demands of the District
  • Regular attendance to Region 12 and TEA workshops relating to PEIMS Data Standards and procedures
  • Occasional attendance to training for student management software
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Superintendent.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate or equivalent and one year clerical experience, preferably in a public education environment. 

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Ability to use personal computer and software to develop reports, spreadsheets and databases, and to do word processing.  Proficient typing, keyboarding, file maintenance, and 10-key skills.  Ability to meet established deadlines.
