Waco Montessori School in Waco, Texas seeks a dynamic and dedicated Montessori certified Upper Elementary Lead Teacher to join our community for the 2019-2020 school year and beyond. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, willing to partner with parents and collaborate with a dedicated educational team to provide a nurturing authentic Montessori program for students. Training in the entire 6-12 elementary pedagogy is preferred. The Lead Teacher will contribute to the warm, supportive atmosphere of our school. You will be joining a team of experienced staff and a dedicated community of families. We are seeking a candidate who is excited about helping our elementary program through collaboration, excellent delivery of a quality Montessori program, and strong communication with parents.

About Waco Montessori School: Founded 43 years ago, we affiliate with the American Montessori Society, abiding by high standards of teacher training and programming. We serve children 18 months - 12 years of age. We have a total student population averaging 260 students per year. We are located in the heart of Waco with Baylor University and Texas State Technical College close by.

Required Qualifications: 
Montessori certified or in process of becoming Montessori certified. Fully supports, in 
      word and deed, the Montessori philosophy and programming. 

Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
Background clearance/fingerprinting.
Authorization to work in the US.
Meets physical requirements to perform all job duties.

August – May 185 days 
8:00am – 3:45pm

One overnight trip (4 nights) each spring with students
