 Primary Purpose:
The role of the Parent/Campus Liaison is to assist campus personnel (including Communities in Schools where applicable), students and parents/guardians in identifying and resolving problems affecting school attendance including, but not limited to, appropriate program placement and accessing any social services a student/parent/guardian may need that is affecting school attendance/achievement.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or additional education preferred Valid Texas Drivers License Proof of Liability Insurance Must be eligible to drive based on the Texas DPS School Transportation Guidelines

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Possesses excellent organizational skills. Demonstrate command of verbal and written skills. Demonstrates proficiency in interpersonal communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with campus personnel. Demonstrate knowledge of computer applications and related software (eSchool +; LOIS preferred) or a willingness to learn. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful

Experience
 
Related experience in dealing with problems of a diverse population in one or more of the following areas: 
1. Working in schools 
2. Working in or with social agencies 
3. Working with law enforcement
