Primary Purpose:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences to enable them to excel in both careers and academics. Provide students with industry based instruction that develops competencies leading to postsecondary education and/or employment.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university Valid Texas Career and Technology teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level as posted (Agriculture Science and Technology, Business Education, Family and Consumer Science Composite, Human Development and Family Studies, Hospitality, Nutrition and Food Science, Technology Education) Demonstrated competency in the Career and Technology subject area assigned

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of subjects assigned General knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience
At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
