Implement evaluation duties for assigned campus(es) that will result in provision of services in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Preparation and Planning
Maintain schedule for timely completion of reevaluations and annual ARD meetings for students.
Plan evaluation and ARD schedule in order to meet required timelines.
Coordinate with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated evaluations and ARD meetings within timelines.
Collaborate and coordinate ARD/IEP schedule with campus staff.
Complete and turn in all required documentation within timelines.

Knowledge and Techniques
Consult and coordinate with teachers to assist in intervention strategies and techniques.
Utilize various assessment instruments and techniques, as a part of a multidisciplinary team, to assist in identifying students with disabilities.
Provide instructional techniques and materials to meet individual needs.
High degree of knowledge regarding special education compliance requirements.

Staff and Parent Relations
Communicate with appropriate school personnel regarding evaluation results and strategies.
Coordinates and collaborates with school professionals to benefit students.
Displays sensitivity to the concerns of staff members and colleagues.
Works cooperatively and constructively with other departments, staff, and parents.
Provides consultative assistance to teachers upon request (including strategies, assist with IEP
goals/objectives, etc.) and provides follow-up as needed.

Qualifications: | Education/Certification:
Master’s degree in educational assessment

Valid Texas teaching certificate

Valid Texas educational diagnostician certificate

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
