BRAINATION, Inc. started as a small, residential charter school in San Antonio in October of 1998, we have since grown to a system of eleven schools across Texas. We serve over 3,000 students in our charter schools and thousands more in our partnership, private schools.
Our Williams House campus is located within an emergency children’s shelter located in Lometa, Texas. We have two types of schools onsite. One is a community based school while another serves approximately thirty K-12 emergency shelter students. Our mission is to increase the capacity for human greatness. Primary Role and Purpose:
The Instructional Assistant provides assistance to the teacher in the preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements, under the supervision of the teacher.
Qualifications:
- Hold a high school diploma (or recognized equivalent) and
- Completed at least 48 hours of study at an institution of higher education; or
- Obtain an associate’s (or higher) degree.
Skills:
- Ability to work well with school-aged children; and
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
- Experience in an educational environment preferred.
