Rosebud-Lott ISD is a growing, large 2A district with a current enrollment of 670 students (PK-12) covering just over 300 square miles.  We are located 25 minutes east of Temple and 30 minutes south of Waco. The district has a very diverse student population with 68.4% of the students qualifying as low-socioecomonic.  It is largely a rural community with farming and ranching being major contributors to the school system.  While the district is named after its two largest communities, Rosebud and Lott, there are at least 14 other smaller communities within the 300 square mile boundary.

The district and community passed a $12M bond in 2016 to renovate the secondary facility and build a new 60,000 square foot elementary school facility adjacent to the secondary campus half-way between the two towns in a community called Travis.  The Board of Trustees added an additional $1.3M to the construction program to assure the facilities were up-to-date and ready to prepare our students for success in the 21st Century workplace.  The new Rosebud-Lott Elementary School houses Pre-K through 6th grade, was opened in August 2019, and is the long awaited pride of the community.

RLISD also has an established history of excellence in a variety of academic and extra-curricular competitions.  The district has posted numerous UIL Academic Championships throughout the years.  RLHS students and staff have earned athletic State Championships in Football, Boys Track, and Girls Track.  They have also posted many years of State Championships in UIL Accounting competitions.   Our ongoing Band program is without rival for our UIL Level.  Currently, they have earned a Division 1 Ranking in UIL Marching Contest for the past 18 years with many Sweepstakes Trophies along the way.  The technology available to the students and staff is state-of-the-art.

All-in-all, RLISD is a proud, rural school, where the district is the heart of the community.
