BRAINATION, Inc. started as a small, residential charter school in San Antonio in October of 1998, we have since grown to a system of nine schools across Texas. We serve over 3,000 students in our charter schools and thousands more in our partnership, private schools.
Our Williams House campus is located within an emergency children’s shelter located in Lometa, Texas. We have two types of schools onsite. One is a community based school while another serves approximately thirty K-12 emergency shelter students. Our mission is to increase the capacity for human greatness. We are looking for student-centered teachers to lead in the spirit of our mission to increase the capacity for human greatness. Our learning environment engages students in the construction of understanding through asking questions, exploring, researching, and reflecting. We focus on strong academics but also teach tolerance, value diversity, support justice, and strive daily to fulfill our mission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
- Meets state certification requirements for subject assignment
- Special Education Certificate, preferred
- 3 years teaching experience
- Knowledge of curriculum and technology used in instructional settings
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Salary: $50,000 per year
