Job Title: ESL Paraprofessional Start Date: Immediately
Reports to: Middle School Principal Pay Scale: CISD Paraprofessional Scale
School: Middle School
Primary Purpose:
Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the campus principal
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or GED
AND
Associate’s Degree or two years of study (48 hours) at an institute of higher learning
OR
Paraprofessional Institute Certificate
OR
Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Bilingual
Two years of successful experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Two years of successful experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
Expectations:

· Ability to work effectively under the direction of others
· Ability to work cooperatively with others
· Help supervise students throughout the day
· Inform the supervising teacher(s) of special needs or problems of students
