- 2-5 years of experience in school finance preferred
- Minimum high school diploma
- Degree in accounting or finance a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Must be organized, efficient, dependable, and confidential
- Willingness to be a team player
- Experience with federal grant writing preferred
- Must understand fund accounting finance and be familiar with general ledger transactions
- Ability to maintain, reconcile, and accurately report state and federal accounting records
- Must be able to coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders within the organization
- Ability to accurately create, maintain, and update expenditure reports
- Ability to accurately prepare, process, and pay monthly expenditures
- Willingness to process and order supplies through various vendors as required
- Willingness to assist in the creation of an annual operating budget
- Must be comfortable working with independent annual financial auditors annually
