SUMMARY
To increase instructional effectiveness and to assist the elementary campus principal in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the campus program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body
Assists in reporting and monitoring student attendance
Monitors the supervision of students in places other than the classroom
Appraises professional building personnel as part of the T-TESS and evaluation processes
Monitors plant security and safety standards to include fire prevention
Assists in the development of instructional schedules for teachers, students, and aides
Assists in monitoring and supervising the instructional program
Facilitates communication within the school and between school and community
Participates in program development at the campus and district level
Attends workshops and conventions for professional development
Assists teachers with integrating technology into the curriculum
Assists campus administrators in identifying opportunities to improve instruction and student performance through technology based solutions
Researches and recommends technology solutions to campus instructional leadership
Conducts professional development on technology at campus and district levels
Assists principal in planning and implementing the campus and district technology plans
Models instructional techniques in the classroom
Provides instructional guidance to all teachers on assigned campus, especially to new teachers
Performs other tasks as may be assigned by Supervisor/Superintendent
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master's degree
Principal or Mid-Management Certificate
Certified in T-TESS
Three years teaching experience
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
207 Day contract (11 months)
