Prepare purchase orders or payment request forms; prepare, calculate and log time cards, absences, and scheduled days off for technology staff. Assist in providing timely and effective Information Technology support to all campuses and administrative departments. Provide data entry pertaining to user management in a Microsoft environment. (Ex. Add, remove, or change the password on Faculty, staff, and student accounts.) Receive incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route all to appropriate staff.
 
Assist users that call or email the help desk to troubleshoot their issue. If issue cannot be resolved at help desk escalate the problem to a Systems Engineer or Systems Administrator. Monitor and maintain district technology work orders.  Serve as communication liaison for the Technology department – informing district staff of technology emergencies.  Assist technology staff in training of new LVISD Employees.   

Position is available July 1, 2021 - 226 days/8 hours/day
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Education/Certification:
Minimum:  High School Diploma or GED
Some College Preferred
 
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient skills in keyboarding
Experience in word processing, spreadsheets, databases preferably the Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced experience in email especially Microsoft Outlook
Knowledge of Computer terminology
Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
Effective organizational, file management, communication, and interpersonal skills
Familiarity in school district databases
 
Experience:
Minimum three years of administrative secretarial experience preferably in a public education
environment or technological field.
