Primary Purpose:
Assist the Director to manage the overall program of instrumental music for district. Provide students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular band activities and ensure compliance with all state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), and district requirements. Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, Texas Teaching Certificate, Music Certification EC-12, High School Band Experience Preferred.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
 
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of overall operation of instrumental music program
Demonstrated ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong working knowledge of University Interscholastic League rules/guidelines
