PRIMARY PURPOSE / FUNCTION:
To facilitate and enhance the accomplishment of the instructional program by providing specialized support services. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Install, maintain and repair of the district’s appliances; both residential & commercial.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma
Advanced Technical Training relevant to the position
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Technical knowledge preferred
Technical knowledge required for certain positions
Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics and written reference material
Knowledge of the basic principals of school plant and maintenance operations
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Calm and patient demeanor with students and others
Certification of specialized skills in one or more areas of maintenance
Specialized training in one or more areas of maintenance
Experience:
Minimum of two years work experience in the area of building maintenance all phases
Meet minimum physical requirements
Knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, components and operating principles of specialized equipment
Plus but not required: Knowledge of fire/burglar alarm operations and EPA certifications
Provide support for electrical services which include circuit troubleshooting, new circuit installment, repairs to lighting (Interior/Exterior).
