Fairfield ISD is seeking a certified teacher to serve students in the gifted and talented program in grades K-5.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree from accredited university
*Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
*Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
*Texas State Certification for Gifted and Talented Education required
*Completed 30 hours of GT Training Current on state-mandated gifted update hours (6 hours annually)
Primary Purpose:
*Provide students with appropriate learning experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
*Enable students to develop competencies and skills to become positive contributing members of society
*Lead campus in identification process for students who may require gifted and talented services.
