PK-12 School Counselor

Evant ISD has approved a 4-day school week for 2022-23.

Evant ISD is located in Central Texas along Highway 281 in Evant, Texas. We are a community oriented school district committed to providing quality academics and extracurricular opportunities for all students. Evant ISD has approximately 200 students in grades PK-12. We also have a licensed in-school daycare center. 


Primary Purpose:
Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive school counseling program at PK-12 campus.
Counsel students to fully develop each student’s academic, career, personal, and social abilities and
address the needs of special population students. Deliver guidance curriculum in various group sizes.
Educate students of skills necessary to address troublesome circumstances, support students in
challenging situations, and assist students with needed resources to navigate crisis situations. 
Plan and implement graduation plans and programs of study with secondary students. 

Education/Certification:
  • Master’s degree, 3 years teaching experience
  • Valid Texas Counselor certification

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of counseling procedures, student appraisal, and career development
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Ability to present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations to students,
parents or guardians, and district staff
