To design and implement a wide variety of activities that promote a teaching staff that is highly qualified and able to help all students achieve challenging academic achievement standards.

Have the ability to:  evaluate and coordinate curriculum between grade levels and in content specific areas; model good instructional practices for teachers and paraprofessionals; provide expertise in the teaching-learning process through formal staff development sessions, faculty meetings, informal discussions and demonstrations of successful techniques; obtain and utilize evaluation findings, including student achievement data to examine program effectiveness.

  • Master's degree from a recognized accredited college or university required, with additional graduate study preferred
  • Appropriate administrator certification for the assignment - or may be an individual who is working on Master's Degree through a degree plan or are currently enrolled in a principal certification program or degree plan
  • Certification and demonstrated experience with instructional leadership and teacher appraisal
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required
